Riddles Oval – Goondiwindi (Infrastructure Development Plan)

We’ve recently been engaged by the Goondiwindi Sport and Recreation Association to prepare an Infrastructure Development Plan for the beautiful Riddles Oval Site.

The project will explore options to redevelop the existing grounds and facilities which are currently used by various sporting entities and community groups by way of a lease agreement with Council.

Stage 1 of the project is complete (R1 stakeholder engagement, needs analysis, environmental analysis, case studies and potential funding sources). Subsequent stages due to commence soon will explore masterplan design options, costs, management scenarios and viability through a business case.

There is exciting potential should Riddles Oval be redeveloped in that it may deliver enhanced/new facilities for the various sporting groups and provide players, spectators, and the broader community with facilities that will deliver a superior game day experience for all. In addition, should provision for retail and allied health facilities be incorporated into the design, there is potential to create a facility that the local community can access and benefit from daily thus becoming a hub for community activity.
